Now Booking Christmas Mini Sessions ~ Vanessa Lyn Photography, Southern NH Photographer

It's that time of year again! Christmas Mini time! I know, I know, it's not even Halloween yet, but it's time to start thinking about those holiday cards. This is my favorite time of year because I just love everything Christmas!

This year I will be offering three set options. You will have your choice of one of our two outdoor sets, or our studio set. The studio set will be for children only. Last year's outdoor sessions booked up so quickly, that I'm happy to announce I have opened up a ton more spots. To book your session, view my Christmas Mini Session calendar and choose your time.

I'm also very excited to be offering optional print and Christmas card packages as add ons to your session.

Now You Can Book Your Own Session!

I'm so excited to unveil my new booking system! You'll notice a new tab on my home page titled "BOOK".  This will make it quicker and more convenient for you to see my open availability and schedule yourself for a time that best works for you. You will also have the ability to submit your retainer without ever having to leave my website. Along with being able to schedule your own session, you will now be automatically receiving a confirmation email with a direct link to my contract. And, what I think is the best part, you will receive a reminder email 24 hours before your session.

Also, be on the lookout for my Christmas Mini schedule that will be posted in the next few weeks. Those booked up very quickly last year, so I have added more dates and more times this year!!

My hope is that this makes the scheduling process easier and quicker for both myself and you. This will also make Christmas Mini booking easier. I would love to get your feedback on this new process.  Feel free to check it out and comment with what you think. I will choose one  person that comments on this blog post to receive a FREE Christmas Mini Session!!

Stop NOT getting in front of the camera!

Yes, I'm talking to you. I know you're exhausted. Maybe you forgot to put makeup on today (or all week). A messy bun has been your hairstyle of choice since your kids were born. I get it. Motherhood is not for the weak. Those beautiful little ones that your have created are work. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old myself. But you are here, and you, Mom, are doing an amazing job. Even when you think you're not, you are. You are the whole world to those little ones.

Often times when mothers contact me to book a session for their children, I ask if they would like to be in some images. Even if they say no, I will encourage a shot or two with them in it on the day of their session. At newborn sessions, I always ask mom (and dad) if they would like a shot with their little one. I often hear from mom, "Oh no! I'm a mess!" or "I still have baby weight. I don't want to be in any photos". Just STOP! Mom, you are amazing and beautiful and someone's world. You don't have to show anyone the image if you don't want, but one day (and it will come sooner than you think) your little one won't be so little. That image will be a moment in time. A moment to remember when you were someone's world.

So mom, take your makeup-less, messy bun, yoga pant wearing self and get in front of that camera! I am making it my own personal resolution in 2017 to take my own advice.
